Urgent Care Services Have You Covered During Non-Critical Emergencies

Whether you are a visitor or a resident of Spokane, you have plenty of opportunities for fun and recreation this side of Washington. Indeed, various family-oriented events are scheduled within and around the city at different times of the year. One such major event is the Spokane County Interstate Fair, which is free for children ages 6 and under. With different exhibits, rides, programs, and concerts, the fair is sure to provide a fun time for the whole family. As with any county fair, you can expect there to be all sorts of rides for people of all ages at this event. Whether you are going with your kids or friends who are young at heart, you are sure to have a memorable experience. That being said, you also need to keep safety in mind at all times. Among other things, take note of the various safety restrictions that are in place. Those who are pregnant or are required to wear casts, for instance, won’t be allowed on any ride.

North Side Spokane Urgent Care Tips for Older Runners and Marathoners

Spokane’s annual Bloomsday run has always been a much-hyped event, and residents of all ages have made it their tradition to join. Last May 3, about 42,000 participants ran and finished the race. While elite athletes and wheelchair racers were truly incredible to watch, the big crowds has always loved the unique “Bloomies”, such as those in interesting costumes. There were also a lot of runners who have been participating since their childhood, and some (called Perennials) have even finished all 39 Bloomsday runs. Even in their 50s, 60s, or 70s, these older runners were able to secure top places or finish the race in a little over the hour mark. Some ran with their families (including their grandkids!), while others had the time of their lives as the community cheered them on.

North Side Spokane Urgent Care Tips for Tree Planting or Gardening

Flooding has always been a concern in the city of Spokane, and local officials continually find ways to help mitigate the hazards. Recently, they partnered with plant nurseries and gave away 2,000 trees for residents to plant around their homes. Each person could get up to two free trees, which should be planted in areas where the trees can absorb storm water efficiently. This would lessen the load on the city’s storm water system, help avoid overflowing in the Spokane River, and ultimately decrease flooding hazards in the area. Did you get one or two free trees in the recent program to help the cause? Are you also planning to plant the trees yourself? Whether you will be planting trees or simply starting a gardening hobby, make sure that your body is ready. Even if you have been into horticulture for a long time, you can’t skimp on your health and safety.
